Electronic visas<\/strong> are a modern alternative available to travellers. They are much simpler and quicker to obtain than traditional visas. In fact, they do not require a trip to the embassy and the forms to be completed are not very restrictive. India can be proud to offer many airports that accept them. At the same time, it improves its security<\/strong> thanks to the digitisation of information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kannur joins other airports accepting e-Visas in India<\/h2>\n

Since 7 June 2022, India has 29 airports<\/strong> that allow entry using e-visa. In fact, following statements by the Indian Home Minister and the Chief Operating Officer of Kannur Airport, the latter is now among the checkpoints for travellers with an e-visa.<\/p>\n

Remember that Kannur is located in the south of the country, in Kerala.<\/strong> The other three airports in this beautiful region were already open to digital visa holders. They are Calicut International Airport, Cochin International Airport and Trivandrum International Airport.<\/p>\n

Here is the list of other Indian airports offering the same advantage: Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Lucknow, Trichy, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Pune, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam<\/em>.<\/p>\n

You should also know that 5 seaports are currently accessible via this type of visa<\/strong>: Chennai, Cochin, Mangalore, Mormugao and Mumbai.<\/p>\n

Who can benefit from an Indian e-Visa?<\/h2>\n

First of all, you need to know that there are several e-Visas<\/strong> issued by India. Depending on the reason for your trip, you can opt for one of these types: tourism, business, private visit, medical, conference, voluntary work<\/strong> or Yoga.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To benefit from it, you will need to meet certain conditions. These include belonging to one of the countries<\/strong> that have been selected by the Indian government. These include France, the whole of Europe and the United States. Note, moreover, that Nepal and Bhutan are exempt from such a procedure.<\/p>\n

You will also need to provide the following documents: ua recent passport photograph<\/strong>and the identity page of the passport<\/strong>. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure for India.<\/p>\n

And of course, you'll also have to provide certain information via an online form<\/strong>. These include your current professional status, information on the countries you have visited most recently and visas obtained previously...<\/p>\n
