To travel to India, you must have a valid visa with you. To obtain a traditional visa, you must go to an embassy and complete a formal application. Today, the Indian authorities have also set up a service offering to obtain an electronic visa or e-Visa, only from a specially dedicated website. How to obtain a visa from an embassy?<\/p>\n

Apply for a visa at an embassy<\/h2>\n

To apply for a traditional visa, you must therefore go to an embassy. Generally, embassies are located in large cities or capitals. In France, The Consular Services, Passports and Visa Application Center for India (ICPVAC) is located in Paris<\/a>. You must therefore plan your journey if you do not live in the capital. Meet at the ICPVAC during its opening hours. You have to take a ticket and wait your turn in the queue. This can sometimes be quite long. Also, remember to prepare any paperwork you may need well in advance.<\/p>\n

You can obtain a tourist, business, yoga or even medical visa to go to India. Don't forget to specify the visa you are interested in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To obtain a \u201cregular\u201d visa, you must complete an online application and then submit the application at a VSF center. To apply for a visa, you must be in possession of a valid passport, a photocopy of the pages containing the personal information in your passport (i.e. those concerning your identity), two identity photos complying with current standards (format 5X5). Once the application is completed, you must print it and sign it, then go to the VSF center closest to you with all the required documents. Bring a means of payment and your reference number. Your file is processed between 3 and 10 working days depending on the location of submission and the period (busy periods such as May-June or October tend to extend deadlines). You then receive your visa by post.<\/p>\n

The e-Visa, an increasingly adopted solution?<\/h2>\n

More flexible, online visas or e-Visas are often favored by travelers and recommended by the Indian authorities. In fact, the service is faster and less restrictive. Simply go to the Internet, on the official website, and fill out all the fields in the form correctly. Payment is also made online. You will receive your e-Visa quickly, within 3 days, by email. All you have to do is print it and present it on the day of your departure.<\/p>\n

Less stress to obtain an e-Visa through an agency<\/h2>\n

Applying online through specialized agencies can increase your chances of obtaining your visa. These agencies are responsible for making the request to the Indian authorities on your behalf. This makes the process easier for you by avoiding errors that could lead to your visa being refused.<\/p>\n

Once the request has been validated, the agency will then send you the e-visa by email. You must print it and present it upon your arrival in Indian territory or even upon boarding for India. You will also be asked for all information regarding your departure from the country.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the e-Visa, it is possible to enter Indian territory from several ports and airports such as the ports of Goa or Mumbai and the airports of Delhi, Mangalore or Calicut.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
